Will this work on iPad?
Yes. PicoTally is built for iPhone and iPad. Voice and receipt scanning use whichever camera/microphone your device has.
What if I lose my phone?
Your data lives in the cloud, encrypted with row-level security. Sign in on a new device and everything is there: invoices, customers, expenses, the lot. The encryption key on the lost phone lives in the iOS Keychain, and nobody can extract it.
Can my crew share one account?
One person per account at launch. Each crew member who needs to invoice or log expenses should run their own PicoTally. Multi-user shared crews are on the roadmap.
How do I get my data out?
Individual invoices and quotes export as PDF from inside the app. For a complete data export, email support@picotally.com and we’ll deliver everything we hold within 30 days, in line with GDPR and CCPA.
What data does the AI see?
The AI assistant runs server-side. When you ask a question, your message and a snapshot of your business data (customer names, balances, recent invoices and expenses) are sent to Anthropic Claude. Receipt scans send only the extracted text to Google Gemini. The image itself stays on your phone. No AI keys ship in the app. Full breakdown in our Privacy Policy.
Does it work without internet?
Yes. Every screen works offline. Changes you make queue locally and sync up when you reconnect.
